America’s Only Defense Against Godzilla by jimmycanuck

Hopping on to CNN.com this morning, I found this grinning nightmare staring back at me from the main page.  It’s the inflating of Ronald McDonald for the infamous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Not a year goes by where one of these monstrosities doesn’t knock down a street light, taking out an old lady of a Dodge Rambler in the process.

Don’t mind my cynicism.  Our thanksgiving was more than a month ago and I’m craving turkey, so I’m a little bitter.

It’s MSPaint… Seriously. by jimmycanuck

Back in the days when I used to have more time to socialize in the GameSpot forums, I had a friend named dyaballikl who was unwaveringly committed to MSPaint.  He eventually learned to love Photoshop, but back then he swore it off like an bad monkey.  I was always amazed at the things he could do without Photoshop, but it was never anything like this.

The picture you see above you was done entirely with MSPaint.  Must’ve taken the artist a lifetime.  Click here to see the full size image over at deviantart.

Best of EAMB – DS Software: TouchDIC by jimmycanuck

Software titles like this can only happen overseas. TouchDIC is a touch dictionary (hence the name) for the Korean market. I don’t think further explanation is needed on why this is funny.

If Nintendo wants to maintain whatever image they have left, they’d better promote this with a new ad campaign. Forget the standard DS tagline “Touching is Good.” I’m thinking maybe, “Touching…not so good right now. Maybe you should hold off on the dictionary and just wait to touch Mario so that…wait! dammit! Ok, let’s face it, we’re just 100% gay. Touch whatever you want.”

And now, in my attempt to become the first blogger to ever win back-to-back Transmundanity Awards using only a pair of kittens, I give you… Cats That Look Like Hitler.

Down in the states, they’re scoring this wicked pre-order t-shirt for the Wii, featuring Reggie in a classic Bruce Lee pose. What do I get up here in Canada? Probably a coupon book and a free copy of Geist. LAME…

Best of EAMB – Dirty Star Wars Coloring Book by jimmycanuck

This delightfully incestual image can be found in two coloring books that are currently on the shelves from Dalmatian Press – Star Wars: Droids, and Star Wars: Balance of the Force. One can only hope that this is accidental, but honestly, even if it slipped by the publisher unnoticed the artist had to have intended something wonderfully corrupt by this. If anyone feels outraged or just wants to stir up some shit, feel free to contact Dalmatian Press.

Best of EAMB – Jawa GameCrawler by jimmycanuck

Not too long ago, in a galaxy not too far away (the UK to be precise), someone took a classic Millenium Falcon toy and hacked an XBox into it. The results were astounding. I decided to take a looksee into what DarkOps (the modders behind this wonder) were up to now. I’m even more awestruck than before.

Locked within this 1977 Jawa Sandcrawler is a Gamecube, an N64, and an Atari 2600. They call it the Jawa Gamecrawler. I call it frickin’ sweet. Everything from controller ports to cartirdge slots are hidden within the design of the crawler. More details and pictures are available here, as well as elsewhere on their website.

hey have one other project that I thought was kinda cute, too. They’ve hacked a Dreamcast into a Fisher Price Millenium Falcon which can be seen here. For more on what they’re up to, visit DarkOps website.
